The Plastic bag!

Thats just the work in progress-name and that progress is almost over! I have used up 4-5 big rolls of tape, 50 gluesticks for the gluegun(not the puny ones, but the big industrial ones), 3 gallons of paint and a few feathers to make a nice little 2 minute long stop-motion animation.

But what is it about? It´s about seeing things from a different view and finding big happiness in small things. yes, it sounds a bit cheesy, and that´s why I have chosen silly little birds to tell the story!

gah, vad det var längesen jag skrev här.
Jag tänkte börja med att berätta min version av dvoted-händelsen, men jag hade exakt samma upplevelse som Elisabet, förutom att jag inte minns vad vi sa när vi väl stod däruppe. Vinet och mackan som skulle lugna ned mig gjorde saken bara värre, kombinationen av att prata inför folk och få gratis saker blev för mycket...

Försäljningen har börjat! De första 5 exemplaren har sålts på lavas julmarknad! Till den okända främlingen som köpte 3 st: det kan hända att en av dem är trasig. /My

Igår var jag och Mysepysan på Cinemateket och visade filmen och pratade i mikrofon för publik. Det var en ytterst trevlig tillställning må jag säga! Emma Gray Munthe var fruktansvärt trevlig! Pratade inte med någon övrig människa där, men ja de såg väl sympatiska ut. Ö inte relevant kommentar, jaja. Det var i alla fall mkt nervöst när filmen skulle visas, vi båda låg kallsvettiga och höll varandras händer i stolarna i bio Victor. Ok kanske låter lite överdrivet men... sanning. Folk fnissade mer än de gjorde i Trollhättan sist i alla fall, så det var skoj! Publikfniss betyder ren lycka. Sen gick vi fram och blev frågade frågor, det var inte så hemskt faktiskt, kanske gränsade till kul t.o.m om jag inte minns fel. Förutom att jag var nära att börja såga min skola (hur lyckas jag alltid) så kändes det bra. Mer lycka var att vi fick en macka o vin samt TAMTADAMTARAM! ett varsitt cinemateket-kort! nu ska catachas upp i filmhistorien, jag som åmat mig över filmallmänbildningskomplex. Perfekt! Hittade också en teve i grovsoprummet i helgen så om billig dvd finns att köpa nånstans kan jag ju snart kolla på film hemma också, det vore helt OK. Fin helg alltså, förutom att hetsät- & drickandet i pausen på fastande, samt en nervös mage blev upphov till en förfärlig magsmärta efteråt.

We won the third prize in our age group at Novemberfestivalen. Yay.

Till helgen är det Novemberfestival i Trollhättan! Vi ska dit och glassa. Jag kollade i programmet nyss, och konstaterade att vår film ska visas på lördag i block 4 som är 17,55 - 19,15. Det kommer bli mäkta nervöst. Anledningen till rubriken ovan är dock synopsisen som står!

Kanske lite internhumor iofs... men den synopsis jag angett avslutades med "en resa för att söka svaren på frågorna som gnager i hans mjälla ekorrhjärta"

Bonjour

On habite en Lille, La France at the moment. The premiere of the film went very well a month ago. Now a few more things will be done; the sound mixing and a translation to english. Then I guess we plan to spread it all around the world... and we will put up a clip from it here.

We will both start studying animation this fall at Fellingsbro Folkhögskola (My) and Diagonakakademin (Elisabet). Very exciting...

AH YES: thursday is a day here in Lille when people put their garbage out in the street. We love garbage and yesterday we found light blue jewellery boxes with the perfect size for 8cm dvds. A DELUXE BOX IS COMING!!!! More about this later!!!

Hej-hej

From last thursday to sunday we were recording the sound for the film. Or no, actually it only took us about half thursday, but then there was some editing and cutting and pasting to do. It was a rather stressful weekend but there REALLY isn't much left to do now. Ok, so I guess we write that in about every one of these blog entries... but this time, it's true! (too) Now there's only some mixing of the sound to do + the music!

We'll show the film in Östersund & speak about it in a few weeks, and we might get to show it on Drömfabriken in Stockholm by the end of april. ji-ha.

ALSO MY'S SISTER is sewing a big Squirrel of Death. yes. very cool.

Another post in our blog

I made the credits the other day, and the intro thingy. That was fun. Hägga has agreed to letting us use his hit song "When I get old" in the credits-parts (uhahh i can't express myself in english and why are we writing in english in the first place, My? i can't remember?). Well: YAY.

The excellent musician Markus Elvinsson is composing the music and the hopefully excellent sound technician Margus Peensaar (at least he/she made the sound a an animated short which got a Guldbagge last year (Glenn the great runner), so yes, proffesional person! wi ho (This I just found out by googling)) from Filmpool Jämtland is soon recording sound (together with My, maybe). Sooo. Film on its way.

I, My, were just sitting and animating the queue-scorn-scene (workingname). Tails are hard to animate, but it will probably be done this evening...I think.....I hope. Elisabet poked my back with a plastic thing before, so now it feels better.

We are almost done with the movie I realized today, it is only one scene-the last-that we havent begun to animate yet. Amazing! Lovely! The rest is not entire done, but almost. oh I hope that it will be done before I go back to Stockholm again.

Thursday 28 december

The second day in the cool apartment that we are watching (2 cats aswell), the animation is going well. Or well animate and animate, it is mostly drawing and fixing the cameraslides and general knick-knacks (that are fun to do). Right now it is the"86 de nk dissapointed"-scene that is our main focus, the moment when The Squirrel of Death understands what has really happened, an his heart is beginning to weak. Oh, what a drama.
